This show was a reminder of how much they’ve grown and a promise of what’s to come - when we’re shining again. TXT might have debuted only two years ago, but time moves differently during a pandemic. Beomgyu may have referred to the concert as “not perfect” in his ending ments, but fans would beg to disagree - above all, ACT: BOY was a heartwarming and fun moment between TXT and MOA from 126 countries/regions around the world. The members got candid about their feelings and reservations and even shared some regrets with us.

(Because what’s life if not a series of ups and downs?) The show undoubtedly felt extra special for those who have followed the group since the beginning. Switching from ballads to bangers, the whole of ACT: BOY was a rollercoaster, meticulously crafted as a journey through TXT’s discography and world. To end things on a high note, literally and figuratively, the quintet wrapped the show with “MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari),” the bright tribute the members themselves penned to fans on The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape. With the members sporting their own concert merch, TXT kicked off their send-off with “LO$ER=LO♡ER” (the explicit version, to our delight and surprise) and the very first live rendition of “Dear Sputnik,” which came with plenty of compliments from fellow members for producer Hueningkai and some more standout vocal moments from Taehyun.

It’s true that an online show will never match the highs of its offline counterpart but, that being said, the encore of ACT: BOY felt the most concert-like of it all. It’s sad but I’ll save my tears for our next offline show,” Yeonjun commented towards the end, a sentiment that the rest of the members echoed in their ments. Online shows do have a quaintness of their own, but it’s safe to assume this is not how the members of TXT envisaged their first-ever solo concert while they were trainees - and no one can blame them. In between songs, they reminisced about their debut showcase, which took place in the US in 2019, and lamented MOA’s absence more than once. Though there were VCRs and outfit changes all throughout ACT: BOY, it’d be a lie to say the offline concert “magic” was matched 1:1, which the members often referred to during the show. Before the encore, the members also performed one of their most recent title tracks, “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” off The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, as many had anticipated after seeing their punk-inspired outfits. And, as enjoyable as that was, “Eternally” into “Frost” gave us the transition of the night. Taehyun’s high notes were a standout but one we couldn’t rejoice in for long, because soon after, TXT gave us an EDM intro/dance break into “Puma,” complete with raucous light beams.

they could have done whatever normal thing successful artists usually do when their star is just formed. With tours canceled and countries closing down, TXT’s trajectory also suddenly came with a list of “could haves.” They could have done this and they could have done that. Almost exactly a year after their debut, the world shut down.
TXT have ascended despite a global pandemic, but they’ve also been irrevocably shaped by it. Once super rookies, the five members of TXT (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai) have since established themselves as protean performers, collecting accolades and building up their fandom both domestically and internationally. South Korean boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) have come a long way since their debut on March 4, 2019.
